In 2011 he was named the college Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year Award recipient. Likewise, with the tenure with LSU, he won three national titles in 2003, 2007, and 2019.
Furthermore, Moffitt became the 2003 Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year by American Football Monthly.
