He did not care about the superstitious of picking souvenirs from the warned areas that could lead to bad luck or horrible death.

Unfortunately, on July 11, 2008, Daniel suffered from a horrible leukemia, a form of bone marrow cancer.

With continuous treatments and visits to the hospital for chemotherapy, there was no possibility of a transplant and successful treatment of his cancer.

Sadly, on June 20, 2009, at the early age of 29, Daniel Northcott passed away fighting his cancer.
